It’s happened to all of us: you have your mind set on that new car that you really desire. And all of a sudden, you start to notice that same car everywhere you look! Why does that happen? I mean, that car has been there all along, yet you only started to notice it now…
The answer is simple: Your eyes notice what your mind is focused on. In other words, your subconscious will pick up on the very thing that you are consistently thinking about.
This doesn’t happen with just cars. This happens with financial opportunities as well. To understand this, you must first understand this principle:
When you have capital, opportunity will find you.
This makes a lot of sense if you think about it. When you have capital available for opportunities, your conscious and subconscious mind will seek out those opportunities. You will start looking at things through a different lense—-a lense of opportunity.
You will start looking for smart and creative ways to put that capital to work for you because you know that money must be in motion in order to grow. You will recognize opportunities you never would have seen before. And other people will start bringing opportunities to you when they know you are well capitalized.
If you don’t have capital, you will never search for opportunities or recognize them when they pass by you because you can’t seize them anyway. Your mind just simply won’t notice something you aren’t looking for.
This is one of the greatest parts about building your cash value inside of your life insurance policy. Not only is it the best place to store your “emergency fund” and your savings, but it is the perfect place to build your “opportunity fund.” Because you know that your capital is protected and is growing every single day no matter what happens in the world. And you can be patient for the right opportunity to come along.
So now that you have built your “opportunity fund”, what are you going to do with it?
Luckily, when you are well capitalized, there is never a shortage of good opportunities for your money. If you ever want to learn about some that are available, just reach out. Many Centerpoint members have already made the choice to put these principles into practice by becoming private lenders for opportunities that provide them with consistency, predictability and security. I’m always happy to share what many of us have been doing with our “opportunity funds.”
